3. **Pupa (Chrysalis)**: After reaching a certain size, the caterpillar forms a pupa, or chrysalis. Inside this protective casing, the caterpillar undergoes a remarkable transformation. Its body is reorganized into the adult butterfly's structure.



4. **Adult (Butterfly)**: Finally, the mature butterfly emerges from the chrysalis. Initially, its wings are soft and wet, but they soon dry and harden. The butterfly then begins the cycle anew by mating and laying eggs.



This cycle can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the species and environmental conditions.
